Fiscal Agent, a service of the Milwaukee Center For Independence (MCFI), offers homebound people with disabilities a way to employ the caregivers they prefer without worrying about processing employee paperwork

Fiscal Agent's Professional Financial staff manages the payroll process associated with employment of the caregiver

As a fiscal intermediary, MCFI's Fiscal Agent would
take care of the following:
  • Processing payroll and timecards
  • Issuing checks
  • Making timely tax deposits
  • Submitting tax reports
  • Preparing W2 forms
  • Providing case managers with monthly client grant spending reports
Since 1988, MCFI Fiscal Agent has offered hundreds of people with disabilities the
opportunity to choose self-directed care by providing expert payroll processing services.

Fiscal Agent services allow consumers the choice of being cared for in their own homes by
people they trust.

IRIS Financial Services Agency (FSA)

IRIS allows you to use your own natural supports and budget creatively to achieve your hopes and dreams. With IRIS, you create your own support and service plan to help you reach your goals in life at home, at work, or in your community.

You can hire staff directly and be the employer or you can purchase services from an agency. Your Medicaid or Medicare Card will pay for items covered by these programs. Customized goods and services allow you to creatively use your budget in ways that are most sensible to you.
