About MCFI - Fiscal Agent

MCFI's Fiscal Agent services are available to county agencies and consumers receiving government funding for supportive home care or personal care.

How can a Fiscal Agent help you?

As a fiscal intermediary, Fiscal Agent takes care of the following:
• Apply for employer federal identification
• Purchase Worker’s Compensation insurance
• Process timecards
• Issue checks
• Submit taxes and returns
• Provide county with monthly reports

Rep Payee
MCFI Fiscal Agent manages finances for individuals who are unable to do so. We provide check writing, annual reporting to the county and Social Security Administration and reporting to individuals, as needed.

Employer training
Becoming an employer can be intimidating. Proper training, however, can alleviate some of those fears. We conduct employer training to county case workers, employers and others.

     Topics include:
          o Finding an employee (applications, interviewing, background checks)
          o Interviewing tips
          o Employer/employee relationship management

Vendor payment
Fiscal Agent also makes non-employee payments. If a consumer attends day care or receives other services from an agency, we pay those amounts and keep service costs in one report. We also provide 1099's.
