About IRIS FSA

IRIS allows you to use your own natural supports and budget creatively to achieve your hopes and dreams. With IRIS, you create your own support and service plan to help you reach your goals in life at home, at work, or in your community.

You can hire staff directly and be the employer or you can purchase services from an agency. Your Medicaid or Medicare Card will pay for items covered by these programs. Customized goods and services allow you to creatively use your budget in ways that are most sensible to you.

Starting with the IRIS FSA

  • Provides you an IRIS orientation focused on the financial aspects
  • Maintains a toll-free telephone number for participant and worker questions
  • Helps you keep your service spending within your budget
  • Streamlines and pays the bills you authorize to be paid
  • Ensures that all of the required paperwork gets completed and filed on time
  • The IRIS Independent Consultant Agency forwards a copy of your individualized support and service plan to the FSA.

What the FSA Can Do For You

  • Pay your chosen providers out of your monthly budget when you approve payment
  • Send you monthly spending reports showing what was paid from your plan
  • Collect your monthly Medicaid cost share, if you have one

For workers you employ:

  • Complete the required criminal background check
  • Help you complete all new employee required payroll and employment forms
  • Review time sheets and issue your worker’s paychecks from your plan
